Coloured pencil has become extremely popular in the past few years in producing professional, realistic paintings! In this online course, students learn to create realistic coloured pencil subjects with step by step demonstrations and complete detailed instructions. Students will learn the importance of layering, burnishing and selecting colours. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced this course will offer many tips & techniques in creating a masterpiece! An online coloured pencil forum will provide the student with a classroom environment to learn tips & techniques, while critiques will offer support, suggestions & improvements. Subjects will range from portrait features, still life, flowers, wildlife, pets and more!

With still life, landscape, animals and portraiture as subject matter, you will take part in animated tutorials with detailed instruction. Introduction to Drawing Portraits in Coloured Pencil

In this class, you will be introduced to drawing facial features and hair in coloured pencils. You will learn how to draw as well as how to layer to create skin tones. An introduction for a fall semester course, which will focus on drawing an entire portrait from beginning to end, using only coloured pencils. Drawing in Pencil - Portraits or Animals (Ages 8 - 16)

You will learn the secrets of blending and shading, using professional techniques and drawing tools. This course will teach you how to create fur-like textures with step by step directions, or how to draw facial features and smooth looking skin to create a realistic portrait. A $6. drawing supplies fee is payable to the instructor at the first class. Please bring your own acid free drawing paper (11" x 14" Robert Bateman recommended).
