Melissa Schatzmann is a self-taught artist specializing in wildlife & portraits in graphite & coloured pencils. Melissa has many years of experience with her portraits displayed throughout Canada, USA & Europe.

Melissa has taught over a 1000 adults & children in how to draw people & pet portraits through Loyalist College. She has also designed Ontario's first online drawing classes offered throughout the year in 3 semesters in both pencil & colored pencils. These online courses can be registered in over 7 community colleges. Melissa also offers children art lessons in Drawing Animals through Loyalist and conducts private lessons in her home.

Melissa's artwork has been published in a high school textbook through McGraw-Hill Ryerson as well as an international promotional brochure through Sakura Products of America. You can browse the art gallery to view her portfolio of portraits and wildlife amongst other works of art.

As one of the founding members of The Group of Twelve, Melissa dedicates herself in exhibiting her work nationally and internationally, in representing one of twelve of the finest realist artists in Canada today.
